Skybridge

The project involves the demolition of existing stairs and addition of a skybridge and rain shelter between Queen’s Close and Mei Chin Road. The challenge in this project lies in overcoming its undulating site terrain and creating a “Barrier- Free” and convenient design solution for the residents.

The bridge consists of 3 V shape ramps and 3 rain shelters at each landing to serve as a punctuation or resting point for users. This also gives users the opportunity to pause and appreciate nature, being nestled along a park connector.

The other design features include the use of blue LED lighting to light up the bridge at night. It forms an eye-catching and unique design that not only increases the accessibility of the neighbourhood but also adds a modern vibrance.
